Entertainment 2.0 #392: Hipster Touch

Entertainment 2.0

Josh is back from his week off, but this time Richard is gone. Fortunately we have James Montemagno back again to help discuss the surprisingly busy week in Microsoft entertainment technology. First up, Amazon released, and then removed, a new app for the Xbox One that supports 4k and HDR. VUDU has also updated their Xbox app for 4k and HDR. Plex has decided to pull support of Amazon’s Cloud Drive in Plex Cloud. A Groove update for iOS and Android has brought with it one of the services best new features. Xbox preview members can now properly bitstream audio out of their consoles, and that means support for Dolby Atmos has arrived. This week also sees the start of the biggest Xbox sale ever. And in some late breaking news, Sling TV may have accidently outed a new set-top box.

Join us most weeks for the live recording of Entertainment 2.0 on Tuesday evenings at 8:30pm ET!
