Entertainment 2.0 #440: Tom Petty References

Entertainment 2.0Plex DVR is back in the news because they’ve brought it to the Apple TV. Unfortunately for many of our listeners, the Apple TV experience is even more full-featured than what’s available on the Xbox One. If Plex isn’t your preferred solution, maybe Channels is. It’s now available on Android TV.
In our gaming news, Microsoft explains why keyboard and mouse adapters are still usable on the Xbox One. They’ve also promised that 1440p video support is coming very soon. Mixer is offering a new way for streamers to make a little money.
Rounding out the Microsoft news is an odd story that seems to indicate that Cortana-powered speakers are far more popular than we’ve assumed, and a popular blogger is arguing that Microsoft is all but done with consumer technology.

Join us most weeks for the live recording of Entertainment 2.0 on Tuesday evenings at 8:30 pm ET!
