Entertainment 2.0 #139 : Dolby, Skype, and Mobile Gaming

PrintEpisode 139 of the Entertainment 2.0 podcast had Josh Pollard welcoming back everyone’s favorite globe-trotting hipster: James Montemagno! The start of the show was absolutely packed with lots of great emails from listeners who brought a lot of extra insight into the topics we’ve been discussing over the past few weeks. Up first for the topics was the missing Play button in Netflix within Windows Media Center. Josh’s lovely wife found a work-around to getting past it. Then the guys briefly chatted about Ceton getting their InfiniTV 4 USB certified by CableLabs. Next up was perhaps the biggest story of the week with Dolby’s announcement that their codecs won’t be included with Windows 8. Then Josh talked about a new Media Center plugin he’s been evaluating called SkypeMCEAnswer. James wrapped the show up by talking about his latest article on the fight for your pocket in mobile gaming. Make sure to join the guys for the live recording next week at 8pm ET!
