Entertainment 2.0 #118 : Hipster Free

PrintEntertainment 2.0 took a week off while Josh went to the Microsoft MVP Summit 2011.  This week he is back, and as usual is joined by Craig. James flew to Romania for a few months though, so his hipster-style presence will be missed for the next few months.

The show started off with some great listener feedback.  A few listeners need some help and/or advice, and I think we were able to come up with some decent solutions for them. However, if you feel we missed anything, or have other ideas, please feel free to send them to us and we’ll pass them along next week.

The show’s topics started with brief discussion on the current status of the InfiniTV Status plugin, and a Microsoft security update that should be applied to any computer from Windows XP all the way through Windows 7. Then they discussed the video that VinylFreak made demonstrating Total Media Theatre 5, My Movies 3, and Windows 7 Media Center for Blu-ray playback. Next up was a brief chat about the price drop for the Amulet Devices Voice Remote Control and some speculation on Microsoft’s plans to enter the tablet space. The show was capped off with Josh’s interview with Mark Pendergrast from Microsoft during the MVP Summit.

In the closing notes Josh put out a call to the listeners to see if they would be interested in being on the show, or writing for the site. If you missed the show live, remember you can always listen live, and join in the chat, on Tuesday nights at 8:00 PM EST.
