Entertainment 2.0 is back yet again with Josh and Craig. This week started off with more great emails from the listeners with great questions and useful tips.
Most of the news of the week was dominated by speculation about Microsoft’s Zune portable media player and media service. First there were rumors that Microsoft has decided to kill off the Zune as a consumer device. There were also numerous stories surrounding Microsoft’s work on it’s next media product, called the Windows Entertainment Client. Microsoft had two job postings for positions working on the new product. The job descriptions, along with various other leaks and rumors are starting to form an interesting picture of what Microsoft may be working. Josh and Craig tossed out some of their ideas, and posed their own questions as to what we might be looking forward to from Redmond.
There were a handful of Windows Media Center plugins that also made the news this week. New plugins were released for watching Starz Live and NASA TV. Josh and Craig also discussed a new plugin that allows the user to create playlists that contain audio and video content. The final plugin discussed allows users to easily search through a large recorded TV library. If you missed the show live, remember you can always listen live, and join in the chat, on Tuesday nights at 8:00 PM EST.
