Black Friday Video Game Deals

life-is-strange-before-the-stormBlack Friday is the ideal time of year to load up on presents for your loved ones, but it’s also a great time to pick up a few video games for yourself! After all, the holidays typically afford us all some extra time away from work and school, and who doesn’t want to spend some of that time relaxing with the latest video games.

If you are looking to give a few games to friends and family, that’s now easy to do on both Steam for PCs and on Xbox. Steam has supported game gifting for a while, but this feature was just recently added for the Microsoft Store. If you prefer to shop from the console, or the website, you’ll find buttons for Buy as Gift.

For Xbox gamers, Microsoft has over 350 Xbox One games on sale for up to 75% off! You can view the complete list over at Major Nelson’s blog.

Steam has hundreds of games discounted as part of their Autumn Sale. Some of them are over 90% off!

One thing that we’re particularly excited about, here at the DMZ, is that every single game we’ve played for Story Players is on sale! For the first season of the podcast we played through Mass Effect Andromeda as our long, multi-episode game. You can grab it on Xbox for only $20.  We’ve also been playing through Life is Strange: Before the Storm as those episodes have been released.  The Deluxe edition is available for $19.99 on Xbox and a little less on Steam. Of course, if you haven’t played the first season, you should pick that up too. It’s only $5!

We’ve also played a couple shorter games too. Tacoma had us exploring an abandoned space station. It’s 25% off, so it’s down to $14.99 on Xbox and only $11.99 on Steam. Our most recent game, and one of our favorites, is What Remains of Edith Finch. It’s available on Xbox for $14.99, and on Steam for $13.39.

There are so many great games on sale right now! Let us know in the comments below what you decided to pick up!
