Episode 299 starts off with some great listener feedback about using Plex with Windows Media Center. The saga of Media Center in Windows 10 continues as it’s now not recommended that you install it. Verizon continues to frustrate Windows Phone customers, while it looks like AT&T is about to get a couple of new devices. Contrary to the rumors, Microsoft states the Surface is here to stay. On the Xbox side the stand-alone Kinect is now available. Maybe you can use it to launch the new Vine app, or not. Microsoft has also released a new photo sharing mobile app, along with a Skype companion app. If you’re not listening live, you’re missing a lot of fun. Join us next week for the live recording of episode 300 on Tuesday, October 21st at 8:00pm ET!

The intro music is a song called Rogue by Raw Stiles
As a Plex user I’ve purchased the Android and iOS apps but just can’t swallow the lifetime or monthly commitment. I would think Plex might find it challenging getting its users to pay for their service seeing as how most content viewed through Plex is likely obtained illegally. Not exactly a generous group of consumers.
