Entertainment 2.0 #298 : WMC in Windows 10

Entertainment 2.0 #298 : WMC in Windows 10Josh and Richard are back again, and there’s even Windows Media Center news to discuss! It looks like it is possible afterall to install Media Center in the Windows 10 Tech Preview. But just because you can, doesn’t mean you should! Should this give us more hope that it will still be available in Windows 10? Roku looks to be competing against Microsoft’s Miracast dongle, and Micro Center has dropped the price on their already cheap Windows tablets. Plex is now available on the Xbox One along with the NHL app, while Redbox Instant has been killed. Also, Microsoft Research has revved the IllumiRoom project to 2.0. It’s called RoomAlive, and it’s pretty amazing! If you’re not listening live, you’re missing a lot of fun. Join us next week for the live recording of episode 299 on Tuesday, October 14th at 8:00pm ET!
