Entertainment 2.0 #113 : HTPCs and Media Room

PrintThis week on Entertainment 2.0 Josh is once again joined by James, and later in the show by Craig. We had a listener voicemail to share with regards to Windows Embedded, and a few comments to respond to. Then we jumped into the article James wrote about building a cheap home theater pc. Craig joined us right at the end of that, and just in time to talk about the new over-the-air antenna he installed at home. We then shared our thoughts about the blitz of news coming from Microsoft through Mary Jo Foley at ZDNet about Microsoft’s Media Room product. It looks as though Microsoft plans to push their IPTV service in a big way in 2011, and on every possible platform and device that they support. Our biggest questions revolve around whether it will be integrated within Windows Media Center.
