Microsoft appears to be following the same tactic they used last year when releasing Windows 8 on their forthcoming Xbox One: slowly release details. As much as we would love to have all the details as soon as possible this strategy allows them to stay in the news. Their attempt to stay at the top of news readers today was to announce the pricing of the controller and wireless headset for their next entertainment console.
The new controller for the Xbox One also brings with it a new price. It will cost you [amazon_link id=”B00CMQTUSS” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]$59.99[/amazon_link] to pick up a spare controller. While that might seem a little steep you can at least take a little bit of solace in the fact that they do include one with the Xbox One console.
The new headset price was also announced. It will go for [amazon_link id=”B00CMQTV50″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]$24.99[/amazon_link]. Unfortunately, as we’ve previously covered, a headset won’t be included with the console. You’ll be able to use the Kinect for multiplayer chat if you’re looking to keep your multiplayer gaming on the cheap, but the experience will be far superior if you’re using a headset.
