The HDHomeRun Prime is Back in Stock!

HDHomeRun Now Supports DRM on Android

As we now know, the HDHomeRun Prime 6 has been canceled. If you’ve had your heart set on expanding your collection of CableCARD tuners you might be cursing 2020 for ruining yet another one of your plans. After all, the three-tuner version of the HDHomeRun Prime has been out of stock and discontinued for over two years! Well, we’ve got some good news for you. The HDHomeRun Prime (HDHR3-CC) is back in stock!

There’s no way to know how many they have in stock and whether they’ll build more after they sell out. If you’ve been wanting to expand your cable tuner count you shouldn’t wait to pick one up. We expect them to go quickly with the $150 price and free shipping offer.

The FCC is no longer requiring cable companies to offer CableCARDs to their consumers. That was one of the biggest reasons SiliconDust pulled the plug on the HDHomeRun Prime 6 and it leads us to believe that SiliconDust doesn’t plan to continue manufacturing the three-tuner version of the HDHomeRun Prime either.
