Josh is excited this week about the release of the HDMI 2.1 specification. Maybe he just needs to get out more, or maybe it actually does have nice new features. Plex has launched a new side project called Plexamp. It’s a stand-alone music player. Amazon seems to be quietly killing their music storage service. Rounding out the newest is the almost unexplainable story that Redbox is getting back into streaming video.
