Josh and Richard are back again, but this time they have a guest. This week saw the much-anticipated release of My Movies 5, so the guys invited Brian Binnerup on to the show. He’s the creator of the incredibly popular plugin for Windows Media Center. After the interview Josh gives his initial impression of the INSTEON for Hub apps for Windows and Windows Phone. Then the guys discuss the coming app and show for the Xbox in celebration of the World Cup. June is also the first month for the Games with Gold program for the Xbox One. There’s also new rumors of a Microsoft smartwatch, and it’s supposedly right around the corner! Richard has a trick for taking his media on the road with him, and Josh has a new Windows Phone. If you’re not listening live you’re missing a lot of fun, so make sure to join Josh and Richard for the live recording of episode 281 on Tuesday, June 10th at 8:00pm ET!

At this point, Remote Potato still seems to be the best option for remote, connected playback. Folks report varying degrees of success with it. Personally, I prefer to just convert and watch offline, but that’s because when I travel I don’t always have good (or any) connectivity.
Thanks for the kudos on Home: On. I love doing the show. Could I ask you a big favor? Would you be willing to copy and paste that comment over on iTunes? https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/home-on-from-digital-media/id658084553?mt=2
Yeah, for me Remote Potato is a little hit or miss. Might need to do some conversions of some series for travel. Posted the comment and rating for Home: On on iTunes this morning!
Thanks, Steve!
