Ceton first talked about having a 6 tuner internal card at CES in 2009. In May of this year, they rolled out their networked six tuner device. For those of you looking for an internal solution Ceton has released the InfiniTV 6 PCIe card. It’s available from [amazon_link id=”B00D97B9BU” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Amazon.com[/amazon_link] for $299.00.
Just like the four tuner InfiniTV 4 PCIe card, it takes one CableCARD but this allows you to record six channels at once. Tuners can be shared over a network through software network bridging. Of course it also supports Switched Digital Video.
We’ve always loved Ceton’s TV tuners, and this one looks to be a stellar addition to their line-up. Look for a review of the network attached version of this card, the InfiniTV 6 ETH, soon. They should essentially be the same hardware. The only real difference expected is the form factor.
