Entertainment 2.0 #169 : Windows 8 Consumer Preview

Entertainment 2.0 #169 : Windows 8 Consumer PreviewThe moment we’ve all been waiting for since Microsoft released the Windows 8 Developer Preview finally hit! We now have the Windows 8 Consumer Preview, and we’ve had about a week to play with it. Guess what? Media Center is in there, despite all of the rumors to the contrary! We take a closer look at all of the entertainment features in the new operating system and see how they stack up to what we know and love in Windows 7 Media Center.  There was also some interesting information released about Netflix this week. May we start to see the online streaming service integrated into set-top-boxes provided by cable companies? Maybe not, considering their VoD services are being destroyed by the streaming giant. We wrap up the show looking at a plethora of updates to the mobile apps for MyMovies. Make sure to join Josh and Richard for the live recording of the next episode of the show next Tuesday, March 13th, at 8pm ET!
