Roundball heaven this week. College basketball is back in the spotlight with a frenzy as numerous pre-season tournaments tip-off across the country. ESPN and ESPN2 have a 24-hour marathon on Tuesday, and the Coaches vs. Cancer tournament in New York features four top-25 teams on Thursday and Friday. Additionally, there’s plenty of big-time college football.
SPOTLIGHT
Lots to choose from, but I think ESPN’s back-to-back games featuring the No. 2 team in the country, Michigan State, and No. 1 team, Kansas, on Tuesday is where I’ll be parking my eyes this week. Those two teams could meet for the title in Indy in 2010, so it’s a good chance to see them early on.
