It’s been a busy couple of weeks for consumer entertainment technology! Amazon announced an appealing OTA DVR. TiVo also took the wraps off their newest Bolt OTA DVR with 4k streaming. Roku launched new 4k Premiere streaming boxes. Carve is back with a mew intelligent universal remote at a significantly lower price than their initial offering. Or video news segment wouldn’t be complete without some Plex news, so they are adding some new features while killing off some older ones that see almost no usage.
Perhaps the biggest surprise of the week was that Microsoft is now releasing premium noise canceling headphones.
