Mr. Robot Finale Delayed — Fix Your DVR

mr-robotMr. Robot is undoubtedly one of the best new shows to come to television this summer. Superb acting with a story that constantly leaves you guessing has given an unlikely network, USA, a smash hit.

This last week was scheduled to have been the airing of the season finale, and with the way the season was going there were many fans waiting on pins and needles to see it. USA decided to postpone the showing though, and it seems as though they made the tough decision for the right reasons.

Last Wednesday morning there was a horrible incident in Virginia where a reporter and cameraman lost their lives to a shooter on live television. Apparently the finale of Mr. Robot has a scene which is similar to last week’s tragedy. USA released a statement in which they said:

“The previously filmed season finale of Mr. Robot contains a graphic scene similar in nature to today’s tragic events in Virginia,”

This was absolutely the right thing for USA to do, but there could be one small for the millions of fans of the show. Their DVR’s almost certainly think that they have recorded the finale of Mr. Robot already. That means that when the finale actually airs, September 2, many DVR’s will view the episode as a rerun.

If you’re a fan of Mr. Robot, you should double check that your DVR is set to record it come Wednesday night.
