Unfortunately Josh is flying solo this week, but there’s no shortage of Microsoft entertainment technology news to discuss. The news starts off poorly with ArcSoft suddenly dropping the Blu-ray playback application, TotalMedia Theatre, and the implications that has on Windows Media Center users. UK listeners can pre-order a Lumia 830 for a great price. Microsoft announced a new Miracast dongle, and Josh has mixed feelings about it. He got hands-on time with a $119 Windows tablet, and while he was at it he purchased an Xbox One Media Remote. He used it to try out MediaBrowser 3 through the Xbox One’s media playback app. The Plex app for the Xbox One appears to be nearing completion, and if that’s of interest you may want to sign up for Plex soon. If you don’t own an Xbox One in the UK it’s about to get cheaper as it’s also about to launch in China. If you’re not listening live, you’re missing a lot of fun. Join us next week for the live recording of episode 297 on Tuesday, September 30th at 8:00pm ET!
