Entertainment 2.0-Episode 77: Hockey and SOC

Print Another week has come and gone and it’s time for Entertainment 2.0.  While it was a slow week, we found a lot of news out there that, while not directly related, could have a large impact on the Media Center community.

First up though is Michael Crump’s Automatic Playlist Generator.  One of our listeners was recently seeking a way to create video playlists within Media Center and Michael has a solution for you.  Head over and check it out.

Next up was the recent question about recording the live TV buffer.  Apparently it used to be possible but no one knows if it’ll work in Windows 7.  You can read all about it over at TGB.  If you’re feeling brave and decide to try out the process, let us know your results.

We also take time to cover how people use their DVRs and how the FCC has allowed the MPAA to turn on Selective Output Control on first run movies.  Overall, there’s enough here to get Josh and I both going this week so enjoy the show!

As we mentioned last week, Dragon Global, creators of Show Analyzer, are giving you another chance to win a Ceton InfiniTV 4 by the end of the month!  Head over to Dragon Global’s site for all the details.  And while you’re at it, get yourself entered!

Keep the emails and voicemails (1-877-856-4933) coming!  We look forward to them every week!
