Charlie Owen Leaving the Media Center Team

longroadCharlie Owen, a Program Manager at Microsoft on the Media Center team, is moving on down the road. Well, metaphorically speaking that is. He isn’t leaving Microsoft, but he is moving to a different team. He announced on his blog today that he has accepted a position in the Server & Tools Online (STO) organization. The group is responsible for development sites like MSDN, TechNet, CodePlex, Connect, ASP.Net, Silverlight,  and many others.

A quote from his blog post:

One of the question[s] which might be raised in response to this news might be…

How does this affect your involvement with the Windows Media Center online community?

I believe the answer is ‘not much’.

We wish Mr. Owen the best in his new position, and we hope his replacement will share the same enthusiasm for the product we love so much.
