Marketshare/Sales

Marketshare slips for the sixth straight week for Blu-ray for the week ending July 18, down to a paltry 9%. Revenue was $11 million, slightly down from a year ago.

What we’ve seen/are watching

• Geek Tonic’s listings show all the premieres for the week, including Mad Men which kicked off Sunday.
• There’s some sports on this week, people will play them, but all you really need to know is training camp kicks off next week for the NFL. Check out the HD Sportsman for all the info.

Blu-ray deals/Releases

Only 12 Blu-ray releases for July 27 and August 3 are among the strongest slates we’ve seen in many weeks, but that’s not really saying much.
