OEM PC Requirement Lifted for CableCard Tuners

Microsoft has officially announced at their CEDIA 2009 event that the restriction of having an OEM built computer in order to get CableCard tuners has been lifted. You will now be able to add CableCard tuners to any PC. This is a huge announcement for the enthusiast crowd who like the idea of building their own home theatre computers instead of buying one off the shelf. Now lets hope for cheaper CableCard tuners!
