Although I’d like to say I thought it would take longer to happen, this seems as though its strange to have taken this long.
Toshiba has announced that they will be bringing their own Blu-ray player to market by the end of the year. For someone like me, this is great news. Although HD-DVD was the superior format, we all know that doesn’t always mean you win the war. (see VHS vs. Betamax) What it does mean is that Toshiba fans like me will be able to stop holding out and drop on a Blu-ray player before the end of 2009.
Hopefully the company will be able to put something out with great features at a competitive price!
