My house doesn’t have room for a dedicated home theater. A limitation of having a dirt floor basement in a 100 year old house I suppose. That being said, with us soon building an 18 x 20 foot deck out back, I need a way to accessorize. While I doubt it’ll pass the wife test, I think I’ve found a way to make it the envy of anyone who gets inside the fence,
Enter Open Air Cinema and their CineBox concept. With prices starting at $449 for an inflatable, set-up anywhere screen, you can add a projector to the mix and have an instant outdoor theater. The company offers packages all the way up to 40ft of screen real estate. They get more expensive as they go up of course with a top package topping out at around $45,000.
While this isn’t going to get you the same experience as putting in a slamming home theater inside, it seems an easy way to get a nice outdoor home theater system that’ll be easy to setup and maintain. I might just have to take a look when the time comes!
