New Z-Wave Module Gets Smaller, Monitors Energy Use

Aeon Labs, maker of Aeotec Z-wave devices, has announced the next generation of its Smart Switch product. The new pass-thru Smart Switch 6 plug-in module will be smaller than previous versions of the product—50% smaller according to their specifications—making it the smallest available switch module available in either the U.S. or U.K.

The device will feature a larger LED lighting ring that indicates function and energy use, while a USB slot will allow device charging. Expect to see the new module in the U.S., Europe, and Australia markets by this Summer.
