At the end of Microsoft’s Build conference keynote Steven Sinofsky, Microsoft’s President of Windows, announced that you can download Windows 8 today! While they didn’t show what Windows Media Center will look like, despite the fact that we know its there, you can download Windows 8 tonight at 8pm Pacific in either x86 or x64 (sorry, no ARM support yet) and you can choose to include the development tools (Visual Studio 11 Express and Expression Blend) or just get the OS. The first thing I’ll be doing is looking for Media Center, but it probably won’t be in this build. Keep in mind that this is a developer release, so don’t be surprised if you find bugs. This is pre-beta.
