Zotac ZBOX AMD Fusion Mini-PC

zboxWell that didn’t take long for manufacturers to come out with a mini-pc housing AMD’s latest Fusion APU.  Zotac announced a ZBOX E-350 based barebones system complete with Blu-Ray Drive.  There are two versions of the “barebones” ZBOX available.  The plus version containing a Fusion E-350 APU with integrated HD 6310 graphics, 2GB of DDR3-1066 RAM, 250GB 5400rpm  2.5" SATA 6 hard drive, HDMI / DVI outputs), Gigabit Ethernet, USB 3.0 port, Dolby TrueHD / DTS-HD Master Audio support, WiFi-N, and an SD card slot. The regular version of the system contains all of the above sans the hard drive and ram.   You will still have to provide your own OS on either version as well.  For those looking to hide their HTPC completely will be happy to see that these boxes are VESA mountable, although that would lead to a little hassle accessing the Blu-Ray drive on larger sets.   No word yet on pricing, but look for it to be on par with the current ZBOX Atom/ION combination at right around $400.
