7Digital, another online music provider today announced that they’re coming to this side of the pond. The company aims to give US consumers another choice in music downloads. The mp3 files the company provides are compatible with any mp3 player and come at you DRM free.

After taking a look at the site, I can say that at least the prices are competitive. Though we all know it takes more than pricing to compete with the iTunes juggernaut. Which is really too bad. I haven’t tried the 7Digital service yet but I can say that I’m willing to considering that price is one of the things I look for when buying music.
With client’s and partners such as HMV, Universal, Spotify, Last.fm, EMI, Warner Music, Sony, and AOL, the company should be able to compete when it comes to content.
