Vudu, which provides access to thousands of high definition titles through their propriety equipment, announced earlier this week that they have made an agreement with Buena Vista Home Entertainment to provide their content to their customers.
Beginning today, VUDU users can select from a collection of over 60 titles featuring recent hits, such as Doubt and High School Musical 3, as well as past favorites, such as No Country for Old Men, The Sixth Sense and National Treasure. Vudu says that the selection of titles will continue to grow as movies become available.
“Consumers are expanding the way that they acquire and watch films and Buena Vista Home Entertainment wants to support this growing medium of digital delivery,” said Lori Macpherson, GM North America, Buena Vista Home Entertainment. “We are pleased to work with VUDU as a distributor of our HD films for digital purchase.”
If you prefer digital download as opposed to buying physical media, you’ll be pleased to know that you won’t have to wait to get your movies. Vudu intends to release new Buena Vista titles day and date with the DVD release.
