It used to be that if you bought a video game console you would get a fantastic game with it for free. That was back when games had 8-bit graphics and featured Italian plumbers. Since then if you were picking up a new console it also meant you had to drop another $60 on a game to play on it. Microsoft is changing that, at least for a little while. Right now you can [amazon_link id=”B00IIHU44E” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]pick up a new Xbox One entertainment console and get Titanfall for free[/amazon_link]! That will save you $60, but you’ll also get a free month of Xbox Live Gold membership so that you can play it online. We haven’t seen a better deal on the console since it launched back in November. Back when the system launched many people weren’t all that excited about the launch titles. Instead they said they would wait until more compelling games came out. Titanfall may just be that game. Some are saying that it will be this generation’s Halo. Of course, even if you buy this offer you’re still going to need to wait until March 11th to play Titanfall. That’s the game’s official launch date, and it’s the date you’ll actually receive this bundle. That’s the only thing that doesn’t make much sense about this offer. They are selling it with a code to download the game for free, so why not just send you the console right away? It will boost February sales, and it would most likely spur customers to buy other digital titles while they wait a couple of weeks for Titanfall. Regardless of the odd scheduling, if you’ve been holding off on purchasing an Xbox One until Titanfall comes out, now is the best time to purchase one! You’ll pay the same $499 we did when it launched, but you’ll have a great game to play with it!
