Conference schedules are starting for most college football teams, meaning everyone is 0-0 again. This is also the second to last weekend of the MLB season, so playoff spots are still up for grabs. Outside of the AL Central and the NL Wildcard, things are pretty much set, but the Mets thought that last year too. Also this weekend we’ll likely see the return of Michael Vick to the football field when Kansas City travels to Philly Sunday at 1 p.m. (CBS regional).
SPOTLIGHT
This is the last weekend for meaningful play in the 2009 PGA Tour season, so that means the Tour Championship and the quest for the Fed Ex Cup. This year it’s at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta. Despite heavy rains recently, the field was able to play Thursday’s first round with Sean O’Hair holding a one-stroke lead after the first round.
