Around these parts, fall is definitely in the air. It’s been cool at night, leaves are changing color and football is the topic of choice. However, with the Tigers on the verge of their first division title in 22 years, playoff baseball is pushing football for air time. This weekend’s slate of football games includes the Minnesota Golden Gophers playing their first home game at new TCF Bank Stadium Saturday at noon on ESPN (720p) and a battle for Texas under the lights at 8 p.m. on ABC (720p). With only a couple weeks left in the season, there’s still some intrigue left in the MLB playoff race. The Tigers and Twins square off this weekend with the AL Central title up for grabs. The Tigers have a four-game lead heading into the series, but have not played well in Minnesota. Check out the second game on Fox Saturday at 4 p.m. (720p).
