We’re happy to welcome Brent Evans of Geek Tonic to the show tonight as we spend a full episode talking about the 2009 Fall TV season. Brent is the author of the wonderfully useful and thorough Ultimate Fall 2009 Premiere Schedule over at the Geek Tonic site. If you want to know when a show premieres, take a look at Brent’s guide. At times its more up to date than the network’s sites are.
Adam and Phil of course are back to join Brent on this look at the upcoming TV season. This is a special episode, so we’ll be skipping the news and Blu-ray reviews so we can focus on what we’ll be doing at night this fall because there’s a lot to talk about.
Brent got a sneak peek at some of the new shows at an event in Kansas City this past weekend, so he’ll tell us a bit about that before we talk about what we’re most looking forward to this season, both new and returning.
We then take a spin through the schedule night by night, helping you to plan out your fall. Thursday nights got ridiculously more busy this year with Fringe’s move to 9 p.m. and the addition of the Chevy Chase comedy Community and the fall’s most anticipated new show, Flash Forward. For a look at what all the new shows are about, check out TV Guide’s rundown.
The trio then tries it’s hand at prognosticating as they pick the shows they think will sink and swim this season before talk switches to the beauty of HD and what shows are most likely to show off with their special effects or locales.
A quick HD Sportsman is followed by the Sept. 22 Blu-ray releases, and Brent takes us through some of the shows premiering this week to close things out. For all the HD sports action, check out the full HD Sportsman post on Living High Def.
