Canadians Get Some Online Love

image If you live in the Great White North, sites like Hulu and US networks which provide streaming video are off limits to you.  Unless you feel like going through the trouble of running through a proxy server that is.  Well now you don’t have to worry about taking those steps anymore.

CTV and Global, two of Canada’s largest broadcasters, are now offering online streaming of both Canadian and US content.  Both networks have had broadcast deals to show US shows on TV for years and they finally decided it was time to join the online fray.

Here’s a sample of what you can find if you live in the coldest nation (personal experience) on earth:

CTV

  • So You Think You Can Dance Canada
  • Comedy Now!
  • Corner Gas
  • Daily Planet
  • Degrassi: TNG
  • Desperate Housewives
  • etalk
  • Fashion Televison
  • Flashpoint
  • Fringe
  • Gossip Girl
  • Grey’s Anatomy
  • Lost
  • Mad Men
  • The Colbert Report
  • The Daily Show with Jon Stewart

Global

  • 24
  • 90210
  • Bones
  • Bob and Doug
  • Days of our Lives
  • Family Guy
  • Harper’s Island
  • Heroes
  • House
  • The Office
  • Prison Break

Again, this is just a sample of the shows now available to Canadians.  Knowing some people who live north of the border, I have no doubt there are some happy people up that way now!
