This week Josh is joined by friend of the show James Montemagno. They got together to discuss Microsoft’s fall Windows event. Before getting into that they both helped answer a few questions about Plex. At Microsoft’s event they discussed what we can expect in the Windows 10 Creators Update. Microsoft also revealed a small update to the Surface Book before showing off a brand new product: the Surface Studio.
Microsoft had some media news at the event also. For starters, the Xbox One will finally be gaining the ability to bit-stream audio. This will bring high-end audio, like Dolby Atmos, to the game console. They also spent considerable time revealing Windows Holographic VR. While they focused on its use in Windows, we expect to see it in another familiar location too.
Join us most weeks for the live recording of Entertainment 2.0 on Tuesday evenings at 8:30pm ET!
