Unfortunately Josh is out this week as he’s feeling under the weather. Filling in for Josh is familiar voice, Corey Lyons. He and Richard have a lot to discuss this week, starting with more bad news for Windows Media Center fans. Microsoft continues to show why they are leaving Media Center behind, as they make a much-hoped-for announcement at gamescon. Microsoft “Media Center Replacement”, the Windows 10 DVD Player, is available now. Will it fill the Media Center-hole in our hearts? Of course gamescon is primarily about games, and there were some great Xbox exclusives shown including: Crackdown 3, Quantum Break, and Scalebound. They also discussed the new UI for the Xbox coming with Windows 10 in the fall. Microsoft has laid out a list of Lumias which will receive Windows 10 first, and Dave Zatz has pieced together a lot of information about the next device from TiVo.
