I agree with you about media center. The most important thing is a DVR capability. I must have the ability to time shift shows and to skip commercials. I love the ability to move shows to my laptop to watch on the road. Streaming really doesn’t cut it with the endless same commercials and doesn’t work without internet which I experience all too often. I also watch a lot of blurays, but rip to folders to avoid the trailers. One remote is so important. I don’t think WMC is long in the tooth. It just works. I am worried about how many years I can expect the EPG to work. How long will Microsoft support it?
