Episode 200 is now behind Josh and Richard, so they were able to get back into the news of the week. This was one of the biggest weeks of news for the Digital Media Zone yet, but could be one of the most important weeks in the history of Microsoft’s existence! October 26th was the official release of Windows 8 and Windows RT, and October 29th they officially launched Windows Phone 8. This all comes on the heals of the latest Xbox 360 dashboard update, and with it Microsoft is looking to deeply integrate all of their products and services. This looks to be the real beginning of their “Three Screens and the Cloud” strategy. It will be an exciting few months to see how this all works out, and the guys got it all started in Episode 201. If you’re not listening live you’re missing a lot of fun, so make sure to join Josh and Richard for the live recording of episode 202 next Tuesday, November 6th at 8pm ET!

Dude I updated to Win8 kept all my files , then installed MCE8 with out issues. Stop scaring folks and do it yourself before you comment on it. All recordings and copy protected content worked fine.
I’m not trying to scare anyone. I’m trying to prevent them from upsetting their environments. It’s hard for me to test copy-protection situations because almost nothing that I receive from my cable provider is copy-protected. Thank you for updating us on your experience though.
